We have lived in Elko just over a year now! I can't believe how much life has changed! When we first moved here it was pretty hard. I was so excited because we could be together as a famiy, but it was hard to move away from everything I had known. I had lived in the same town my whole life, had mostly the same friends, and always been so close to all of my family. If one word could describe it that word would be comfortable. I would never have thought a year ago I would be saying this, but moving to Elko has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Now that doesn't mean I don't miss my family and friends, but personally and in our little family it has been so good for us. I have had to grow and be stretched in so many ways that has just hopefully made me stronger! Elko is a town full of so many friends, good memories, and opportunities for us! When we first moved here we thought we would be here for a year maybe a year and a half. But it has now turned into 3 to 5 years, and who knows after that. David is working for an amazing man that has taught him so much in just the little time he has been working for him. David has been working so hard and he has been accomplishing so much! I am so proud of all that he does for our family! He truly is one of the greatest men I know!
For the past year he has been in charge of working on remodeling and changing an old hardware store into 5 different stores. On March 3 they will all be open, and they all look so good. The stores are Famous Footware, Maurices, Rue 21, Ross, and Joann's. And believe me Elko needed these stores so bad! Everytime one has opened, the store has broken records in sales across the whole country, and continue to break records!

So if you ever come to Elko, make sure you visit the Elko Junction Shopping Center because an amazing man built the stores!
